Bear is the main antagonist of the BEAR franchise. In BEAR (Alpha), Bear was created by Sam and Whitey as part of their experiments at Cheese Factory, which both would go on to create multiple Bears. In BEAR*, Bear would be experimented on by Henry McMaster, who would go on to create multiple Bears clones. Later down the line, an incident would occur in Cheese Factory which would cause the Bear Apocalypse. In either case, Bear would go on to become hostile towards survivors.
Appearance
Bear is a plush that has some attributes of a bear. Bear has dark brown eyes, a round, flat, turquoise-colored nose, and a brown mouth that is grinning, and has a pale ivory coloration for its fur. Throughout the games, Bear emits a red glow.
Behavior
Bear is a hostile entity that will kill any survivor in the nearby area.

General
Bear's original appearance.
- Bear used to look very different than what it looks like currently, shown by the image on the right.
- The reasoning behind the major contrast in Bear's appearance before and currently would be due to a major loss of stuffing as a result of being cleaned by the washing machine by Cheedaman's mother. Another effect that the washing machine had on Bear would be making Bear's nose fall off, resulting in Cheedaman's mother making a new nose for Bear. The last factor that altered Bear's appearance would be how Cheedaman treated the plush harshly. In one instance, Cheedaman strangled Bear to the point where Bear's neck had become unnaturally elongated.
- When the image was first found, people assumed that it was Sam in the image. This was later debunked by Cheedaman.
- It has been speculated by Cheedaman that Bear might have originated from Canada or the United States where it might had been manufactured in the late 1990s or early 2000s.
- Robwinzz states otherwise, claiming the Bear plush is called Sigh Bear, from Africa. The manufacturer of the product was a company called Slippers for Sally's. They used to create slippers with the materials, and they started making Fluffy Sam Bears.
- Cheedaman had been given Bear by his mother's friend as a baby shower gift.
BEAR (Alpha)
- In the Survivor Tutorial boards, Bear doesn't emit a red glow in the screenshots.
- This is due to the screenshots being taken during the MAY-19 build of BEAR (Alpha).
- BEAR (Alpha) is the only game where Bear lacks a description.
- Back in the early builds of BEAR (Alpha), Bear would go invisible when it would walk for mobile players.
